We are seeking to recruit a graphic design intern to produce posters and flyers for online use, as well as assist in improving the layout of our newsletter. This internship would be suitable for a student, or a recent graduate who seeks to gain experience in an international organization and to build their portfolio of published work. Most of the graphics required will be stock pieces, e.g. posters for international days. A time commitment of one day per week for three or six months is required. Scheduling can be flexible, and you can work remotely online from wherever you are based. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, therefore candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. This internship is unpaid. Students are often able to arrange academic credit, as CRW internships often offer direct exposure to the workings of an international human rights organization, close supervision by the CRW staff, interaction with other human rights organizations, and opportunities to attend lectures, trainings and special events relating to human rights. Students should check with their individual academic institutions for requirements. Qualifications: Applicants should be well-organized, self-motivated and extremely reliable, with excellent attention to detail. Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of the Adobe suite. Applicants with experience designing for the internet and having proven experience with Its important that the applcant knows how to use Adobe and edit PDFs. Applicants with photo editing skills as well as video production skils are very much welcomed. Applicants must have an interest in human rights. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a skype interview. Due to a high number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be conducted.
Please note the internship is on a voluntary basis and is unpaid. You will gain knowledfe of human rights digital advocacy, you will stay updated with the human right issues in a global and local scale, you will work closely with CRWs activists, and network with internaitonal human rights defenders.
This job is suitable for a recent graduate.
